Weekend Runs

Dan's no nonsense mountain marathon training blog (Days 1 and 2!)

Since signing up for the Jungfrau marathon this week, the realization has now washed over me that I need to get into gear on the quick. For the official marathon training (20 week schedule I'm thinking), I'll be following my favorite number one basic plan and just spice it up with plenty of hills and give myself an additional 4 weeks to try and get ready for this sucker. We'll see how this goes. In the meantime, my plan is to make sure I don't kill myself during the official training, so lots of little runs with some nice hills!

Here's the run from Day 1 (Feb. 19th):

6.1 miles
Highlights: Nice big Feigeres hill, featuring a 8.5% grade over almost 2km.

And the run from Day 2 (Feb. 20th):

4 miles with a lovely 9.2% grade over 0.85km (run in reverse!)

Here's to a very hilly adventure!
